La Jolla Adventure Day

I remember sitting in my room praying as a child that my mom would have a baby that I could play with. At the age of five I denounced my faith and told my parents that God didn't exist because I never got a little sister. Luckily I grew out of that and came to a more reasonable understanding of how God works but it took a while to get over the sting of those unanswered prayers. Last August, however, my prayer came true. I got my little sister I always wanted and a little brother and an older one too! Marriage has been a gift in so many respects but one of my favorites things has been the gift of a growing family. My baby sister just graduated highschool and is going to be going to the college that I'm attending this fall! She stayed at our house for a few nights this summer and one of the days we took a little daytrip down to one of my favorite places in the world, La Jolla.

Seals, baby seagulls, herons, sea anemones, hermit crabs, great views and great company. What more could you ask for! This day was such a perfect adventure.
