Growing up, Lindsey and I got to a point where we were literally never apart. We would beg our moms to let us have back-to-back sleepovers, alternating houses then we'd see each other at practice, then at church then the weekend would come and the cycle would repeat. I couldn't go anywhere without her without being asked, "Where's Lindsey?". It almost felt strange to be alone. Undoubtedly, we took those years for granted; the two minute drive from our houses, the five excuses to see each other each week with our matching schedules and the hours of freedom we had to waste on whatever we please. It was bliss. The years have changed us over time. We are busy now, busier than ever. We work more than we play and don't often find ourselves with hours of freedom to spare. But some things never change, thankfully. The years we spent growing in friendship, investing in each other and setting aside a special place for each other in our hearts were certainly not wasted. To this day, we have the most special bond. We can talk for hours about things that mean nothing or things that mean everything. Our friendship is deeply rooted and something that I have learned to cherish and grown to appreciate more and more with passing time! Tonight we got to catch up over coffee and live music, window shop through my new favorite home decor store that we discovered in Encinitas and make dinner together at my place. Although there were many years full of memories we took for granted in the past, I don't take a single moment for granted today.
I need this light!!
How cute is this store?
Our dream man is coming to town! Concert anyone?
